NEWS-PRESS August 8, 2014: Mystery woman was disbarred attorney involved in love triangle

"Always Odd"

A lawyer in Virginia who was involved romantically and professionally with Ann Marie Miller said she was always odd.

Jeffrey Kessler met Ann Marie Miller – the woman who burned her fingerprints off to avoid identification – in 2003, he said.

They met in law school and briefly dated, he said, and eventually went into business together, a decision Kessler said cost him a fortune and some of his sanity.

Miller began hiding money and falsifying files while working in their bankruptcy law practice, Kessler said. He assisted in the investigation which led to Miller's 2009 disbarment.

Even though the pair worked with Kessler's then-fiancée, now wife, Miller became obsessed, Kessler said. "She fixated her anger versus me. She attacked my wife and began stalking us," he said.

Miller eventually moved on to Colorado. But the attacks didn't stop. She began filing law suit after law suit, which became increasingly bizarre. "She claimed I injured her pet bobcat in Alaska," Kessler said.

While not totally surprised what has happened in Miller's life, Kessler hopes she gets medical help, as her mental state has clearly deteriorated. more
